Strong Start by Doncic
Playing on the road, the Mavericks surged ahead as Doncic scored 12 points early, giving them an eight-point lead. Though the Timberwolves tied the game with a three-point play by Rudy Gobert, the Mavericks responded with a 13-0 run, ending the first quarter with a commanding 35-19 lead, fueled by Doncic’s 20 points in the period.

In the second quarter, the Mavericks started with an 11-4 run, extending their lead to 23 points at 46-23. Despite a brief Timberwolves rally, the Mavericks responded with a 15-2 run, widening the gap to 67-38. At halftime, the Mavericks led 69-40, with Doncic and Irving combining for 44 points.
